✅ 1. Check Battery Levels Regularly

Smart locks run on power — make sure they won't run flat .


Your lock and app will  give you an early low battery alert, don't miss it.


🧠 Pro Tip: Use high-quality alkaline batteries. Replace once a year, even if you think “they’re still fine", cold weather will decrease battery capacity.



✅ 2. Clean the Fingerprint Sensor and Keypad

Smudges, sunscreen, and the occasional fried chicken grease (no judgment) can all interfere with recognition.


You can just use a soft, slightly damp cloth — and for most sensors, that’s enough.

  • Spraying anything directly onto the lock (spray onto cloth first)

  • Excess water (moist ≠ dripping!)
