TTLock Passcodes Not Working? Two Small Settings You Should Know

Recently, two new clients ran into the same issue.

They had created passcodes — but the codes wouldn’t work.

In both cases, the lock was working perfectly.

The problem was simply a small setting that many new users don’t notice.

This design actually exists for security reasons.

When creating passcodes in TTLock, there are two small details worth remembering:

1️⃣ Permanent / Timed / Recurring Passcodes

These codes should be used at least once within 24 hours after their start time.

If they are never used, the system may automatically invalidate them.

2️⃣ One-time Passcodes

These codes can only be used once and are valid for up to 6 hours.

If they are not used within that time, they will expire.

We sometimes see users confused when a code they created doesn’t work —

and often it’s simply because of these settings.

Small details like this can make managing smart access much smoother.
